Improving the Well-Being of our People
Tēnā koutou e te whānau o
Wairarapa Moana ki Pouākani
Whakapapa is the heart
of who we are and where we come from. It is the foundation of our identity
as individuals and links us to all other living things, and to the earth and the sky, and it traces the universe back to its origins.
To
be eligible to apply for any of the available grants that Wairarapa Moana
offers, you must be a registered member.
All new registrations will be verified by our grants team prior to approval.
To
register you must be able to trace a direct bloodline to one of the 139 original owners in Wairarapa Moana, be over the age of 18, and provide a copy of your full birth certificate.
During the registration process you will receive your User ID and Password. This will enable you to save and exit your registration and log in and out of the registration section at any time.
Full information on how to register is available in the Enrolment Guide. WM Enrolment Guide.pdf
Paper application forms can be downloaded from the Wairarapa Moana website and are also available from the office.
Wairarapa
Moana acknowledges that researching your whakapapa can be challenging. Our team will assist you wherever
possible, but it is the applicant’s responsibility to show their descent from an original owner.
